My husband before I met him had a truck get stolen and the isurance company sent him a check to pay it off, he was in alot of legal trouble and not mentally well and never took care of the bill. The check was never used and he ended going to jail so it was never taken care of. He now has this on his credit that he owes $11,000 to ford motors, this has been 6 or 7 years ago, can this be fixed? I'm not sure where he had insurance at or even if the place is still there that would have his record of having insurance, he is trying to get his life strait with me and this is a big thing on his credit we will never be able to get a loan with that on there All I know is that it has been sent to colection agencys and the only reason we know it is on there is because we got a credit report from freecreditreport.com

Resolved Question: Motor Trade insurance policy help?
hi, I was planning to go on a roadtrip in the uk next weekend with my mate who owns a car. for peace of mind i ask him if hes insured he replied yes that hes on Motor Trade policy that insures him to drive any vehicle. Hes got it cause they have a family business in the motor trade. Does his Motor Trade policy be recorded on the MID (Motor Insurance Database) for the car hes driving? how does it work? I dont understand. If its not recorded then police will see it as uninsured and the police will disrupt and cause inconvinience to our road trip by stopping us if you understand what im saying. I Want the roadtrip to be perfect. So whats the best advice tht can be given regarding this? thanks,

Resolved Question: Unemployed but now disabled.?
I am currently collecting unemployment insurance. I was recently hospitalized and told that I can not drive until the department of motor vehicle (California DMV) and my doctor gives me the okay. I do not know how long this will last but I can not look for a job or go to work if I am unable to drive (I'm disabled to begin with and have mobility issues). I need advice. What should I do? Thank you. Follow-up question: The doctors aren't done testing with me yet but one thing they know for sure is that I can't drive and have reported me to DMV. Is the unability to drive considered a disability, and how will this affect my unemployment insurance (will it get interrupted)? Do I even have to report this change in my personal condition for collecting unemployment insurance benefit purposes? Again thank you.

Resolved Question: My boyfriend was injured at our neighbors home and they dont have homeowners insurance what can we do?
My boyfriend was visiting the neighbor while he was working on his riding mower. I guess the carburator was messed up because it had pumped the block full of gas. The neighbor thought that it would be a good idea to take the spark plug out of the block and drain the gas but not enough of it was coming out so he had a battery charger hooked up and before my boyfriend knew what he was going to do , he hit the starter with the cables to turn the motor over in hopes of pumping the gas out and when he did it sparked and shot flaming gas all over my boyfriends legs and hands. He was sitting in a camping chair off to the side and didn't realize what the guy was going to do until it was too late. He had to be life flighted and was in the hospital for 4 days with 2nd degree burns and has to go back regularly. The neighbor has no homeowners insurance and draws a disability check. Are we left with no options? We don't want to take the guys house or anything.
